Bailey Builds, a Duluth-based wood-art company featured on “Love is Blind,” is re-evaluating its plans for the Minnesota State Fair after a container company mistakenly sold their entire booth contents. The incident has left the business with nothing but days to go before the fair’s opening on August 21.
Co-owner Anna Bailey expressed her frustration on Facebook, stating that the storage company sold their container, which included walls, flooring, signs, and lights, just as the fair was about to begin. With only a few days to prepare, Bailey Builds is scrambling to come up with alternative solutions.
“We’re problem-solving, figuring it out in real time, and trying to hold on to a sense of humor,” Bailey said. Despite this setback, Anna and her husband Nathanael plan to still participate in the fair, although their setup might appear different.
Bailey Builds has been a regular fixture at the fair for about four years, showcasing wood-art creations made from scraps. The company’s journey began when Anna started crafting artwork in her garage over a decade ago. In 2023, they transformed a former funeral home into a workshop and store called BB & Friends.
