Actress Kristen Wiig, a multiple Emmy nominee, will star alongside Jonah Hill in the upcoming Warner Bros comedy “Cut Off”, directed by and written by Hill himself. The film is set to shoot this fall with a global release date of July 17, 2026.
The movie follows two wealthy siblings who are cut off from their parents and features a cast including Matt Dines and Ali Goodwin. Strong Baby Productions will produce the project alongside Hill, while Warner Bros has secured a $10M California tax credit for what’s expected to be a $49M production.
This is one of several upcoming projects for both Wiig and Hill. In addition to “Cut Off”, Wiig will executive produce season two of Apple TV+ series “Palm Royale”, which returns this fall, while also starring in the family film “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie” set for a September 26 release.
Hill co-wrote, directed, and produced the upcoming Apple comedy “Outcome”, starring Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, and Matt Bomer, with a spring 2026 release date. Strong Baby has also produced critically acclaimed series such as “Overcompensating” on Amazon/A24 and HBO’s “The Mortician”.
