Google Calendar for Wear OS Gets Material 3 Redesign

Google has rolled out a new design for the Google Calendar app on its Wear OS devices, incorporating the latest Material 3 Expressive look. The update is primarily aimed at improving the appearance of Tiles, with some notable changes to specific sections.

The “Next” event tile now features name and duration details in a rounded container, along with themed graphics. The date in the “Today” Tile is placed above this, while the “Calendar” button is located at the bottom in a curved-style container. A minor change has been made to the “Next” tasks section, introducing a curved “More” button.

The update is available in the latest version of Google Calendar for Wear OS (2025.30.x). Additionally, users can expect two upcoming Tile updates, including changes to the Google Contacts and Google Keep apps.

These updates reflect the broader expansion of Material 3 Expressive across various Google apps, including a recent redesign for the Google Messages app on Wearables devices. However, it appears that this rollout is currently limited to a select few users due to a server-side implementation plan.
