Tencent has quietly made changes to its upcoming game Light of Motiram’s Steam page just days after Sony filed a copyright lawsuit against the company. The game, an open-world survival crafting title featuring mechanized animal-like creatures similar to those in Guerrilla Games’ Horizon series, was revealed last year.
Sony claims Tencent asked for permission to license the IP but continued development despite Sony’s refusal. However, on SteamDB, changes recorded show Light of Motiram’s page has been updated with new screenshots, trailers, and promotional images, including a revised cover image and game description.
The original description stated that players would build bases, advance technology, train Mechanimals, and face formidable bosses in a post-apocalyptic world. The revised description now focuses on survival mechanics, stating that players must make smart use of their surroundings to stay alive.
These changes come as Sony’s upcoming film adaptation of Guerrilla Games’ titles is set to arrive earlier this year.
