Windows 11 Phones Get Seamless File Sharing Capabilities

Microsoft has rolled out a new feature that enables seamless file sharing between Windows 11 PCs and iPhones. The functionality, available through the Phone Link and Link to Windows apps, allows users to share files with their iPhone easily.

The update is now available in the Windows Insider Program for those with an iPhone running iOS 16 or higher and the latest versions of both Phone Link and Link to Windows. This feature brings the Phone Link experience on iPhones closer to what’s available for Android devices connected to PCs.

However, it’s worth noting that this new feature still doesn’t match the exclusive capabilities offered by connecting an Android phone to a PC. Microsoft continues to work on improving its offerings in this area.

Meanwhile, another update is being tested by Windows Insiders: a minor Insider build of Windows 11 Build 27764, which includes various bug fixes and improvements for apps like PowerPoint and Narrator. The latest Windows Insider builds are available exclusively to those enrolled in the Canary Channel.

The new features include improved dynamic lighting settings, enhanced narrator functionalities, and enhanced speech-to-text and text-to-speech capabilities.
