Fleetwood Leads Rose by One Stroke Ahead of Final Round

Tommy Fleetwood is in the lead at the St Jude Championship, with a one-stroke advantage over Justin Rose after the third round. Fleetwood shot a 69 to finish on 14 under par, while Rose trailed behind by one stroke.

Fleetwood, a seven-time European Tour winner, had held a three-shot lead over Rose earlier in the tournament but struggled early on in the third round. He lost his lead due to double bogeys at the third and seventh holes, but regained it with birdies on the ninth and 12th.

World number one Scottie Scheffler is two shots behind Fleetwood after firing a five-under 65. US Open champion JJ Spaun is also tied for the best round of the day with Scheffler.

This event marks Fleetwood’s 162nd start on the PGA Tour, where he still seeks his first title. Rose, 45, aims to become the first player in his 40s to win this season.

Fleetwood remains optimistic about his chances, saying “I enjoy being in this position… The more I put myself there, the more chance there is of it happening.” The tournament’s final round will determine the champion.
