A Canadian man, Andrew Barber, 39, was rescued after surviving nine days lost in the wilderness of British Columbia. He drank dirty pond water and ate whatever he could find to stay hydrated. The search for him was challenging due to the remote area’s terrain and limited visibility. Despite his survival skills, Barber became severely dehydrated and injured, making it uncertain if he would have survived much longer without rescue. Authorities credit the Quesnel Search and Rescue team with saving his life, describing him as a “lucky man.”
