Jennifer Aniston Reflects on Turbulent Time After Brad Pitt Divorce

Jennifer Aniston has spoken candidly about the “vulnerable time” she experienced after her high-profile divorce from ex-husband Brad Pitt in 2005. The ‘Friends’ star revealed that doing her first interview with Vanity Fair at the time was “jarring” and left her feeling emotionally raw.

Aniston, now 56, said that she took the intense media scrutiny personally and found it difficult to cope with. She recalled giving herself advice at the time: “Just pick yourself up by the bootstraps and keep on walking, girl.”

The couple met in 1994 but didn’t become romantically involved until 1998. They married in 2000, before announcing their plans for a family in 2004. However, they split just over a year later.

Aniston has described this period as “the love triangle” and acknowledged that it was “juicy reading” for the public. She said she struggled to cope with the media attention following her divorce, adding: “We’re human beings, even though some people don’t want to believe we are.”

In a rare interview, Aniston also spoke about her friendship with Pitt’s ex, Gwyneth Paltrow. The two women attend Pitt and Paltrow’s engagement party and still exchange advice on personal matters.
