KPop Demon Hunters, the hit Netflix animated feature, is coming back to select theaters across North America on August 23 and 24. The movie’s soundtrack has been a surprise hit since its debut in June, with songs like “Golden” and “Your Idol” charting well.
The project follows Huntrix, a girl group that fights monsters from the underworld when they’re not performing. When not selling out stadiums, Rumi, Mira, and Zoey use their secret identities to protect fans from supernatural threats. A rival demon boy band emerges as their biggest enemy yet.
Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans for Sony Pictures Animation, the film features an ensemble cast, including Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong, and Byung Hun Lee. The original songs were performed by various artists, with some original tracks by members of Blackpink performing as a group.
