A new documentary about the Apollo 13 mission is nearing completion. “Odyssey”, directed by Avi Belkin, focuses on the five-day harrowing ordeal in 1970. The film uses over 2000 hours of previously unseen archival footage featuring astronaut Jim Lovell and his family, as well as international cooperation that saved the astronauts from disaster. Despite plans to land on the moon, an oxygen tank explosion forced reentry into Earth’s atmosphere to be perilous. The documentary, produced by Delirio Films and financed by Fifth Season, is set for early fall sales launch through CAA and Fifth Media.
