Allu Arjun’s action-drama “Pushpa 2” experienced a slow decline in box office numbers after its first weekend in North America. The Telugu version collected $9.9 million, but the Hindi version is still contributing decently.
The film’s performance slowed down on Monday, with only $127,595 collected from the Telugu version and $350,000 from the Hindi version. A strong hold during the second week is crucial for “Pushpa 2” to reach its break-even point of $15 million.
Although the Telugu version is struggling, the Hindi version has shown decent numbers, with a drop only on Tuesday ($422,000). The U.S. distributor has lowered ticket prices and enabled all passes at major theater chains, which may boost sales.
The film still needs to collect over $4 million in North America to break even. With this weekend’s Hindi version performance, it seems likely that “Pushpa 2” will hit the break-even mark. The current breakdown by language is as follows: Telugu ($6.5M), Hindi ($3.9M), Tamil ($150K), Malayalam ($22K), and Kannada ($1.6K).
