Ariane 6 Rocket Successfully Launches Satellite Mission

Europe’s Ariane 6 rocket successfully launched its third mission, deploying a satellite into polar orbit. The launch, which took place on Tuesday from French Guiana, marked an “absolute success” for Arianespace. The Ariane 6, Europe’s flagship space rocket, made its debut in July 2024 and is critical to the continent’s goal of reducing reliance on SpaceX. After about an hour into the mission, the rocket deployed the Airbus-made satellite, which will be used for weather forecasting and climate monitoring in a polar orbit.
