Apple iPhone 17 Release Date Prediction

Apple is set to unveil the new iPhone 17 series in less than four weeks, with a keynote event scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 9. Mark Gurman’s latest newsletter has provided fresh insights into the release date of iOS 26, which will be pre-installed on the new iPhones and also compatible with older models.

According to Gurman, the final public version of iOS 26 is close to being ready, with the sixth developer beta already showing promising results. He estimates that the general release for iOS 26 could happen in the first half of September, potentially around Monday, Sept. 15 or Tuesday, Sept. 16.

Gurman’s prediction follows a similar pattern as last year’s iOS 18 release, which was made available exactly a week after the keynote event and four days before the onsale date of the iPhone 16 series. Apple is expected to follow a similar schedule this time around, with the general release potentially occurring at 10 a.m. Pacific.

The full schedule includes:

* Keynote announcement: Tuesday, Aug. 26 (8-9 am Pacific)
* Keynote event: Tuesday, Sept. 9 (10 am Pacific)
* Pre-orders open: Friday, Sept. 12 (8 am Pacific)
* Reviews appear: Tuesday or Wednesday, Sept. 16/17 (6 am Pacific)
* Onsale date: Friday, Sept. 19 (7 am Pacific)

Keep an eye on these dates as the release of the iPhone 17 series and iOS 26 approaches.
