With the start of the NFL season approaching, fantasy football enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for their team’s players to shine. While it’s easy to predict production from top players, some sleepers can provide a significant boost to your roster. Here are four under-the-radar players who could break out this season.
Sam Darnold is a prime candidate to exceed expectations in 2025. As the new quarterback of the Vikings, he’ll have the benefit of working with Justin Jefferson and Kevin O’Connell’s masterful scheming. Under O’Connell, Sam Darnold has shown his potential, topping his previous single-season high in passing touchdowns and finishing as the QB9 in fantasy points.
J.K. Dobbins is another sleeper who could make a significant impact this season. After a series of injuries limited his playing time over the past five seasons, Dobbins shocked fantasy managers last year by proving he can still be an efficient rusher. He’s now being drafted as RB38 on average but should easily win the goal-line job in Denver.
Kyle Egbuka is a polished receiver who could take advantage of Chris Godwin’s Week 1 availability in doubt. As one of the best offenses in the NFL, Egbuka will have an immediate opportunity to grab a significant role in the Buccaneers’ attack. His recent comments from Baker Mayfield suggest he’s “the real deal.”
Cade Higgins is an overlooked receiver who has the potential to earn a significant workload in the Texans’ offense as a rookie. With Stefon Diggs departing and Tank Dell’s injury, Higgins will get the advantage of playing across from Nico Collins, who will put fear into opposing defenses.
Justin Strange already posted impressive numbers last season, despite limited targets. With Evan Engram’s offseason release, Strange enters Year 3 of his career as a starter in new coach Liam Coen’s offense. If he can maintain this level of production, he could be the next young TE to break out.
