Several major truck manufacturers are seeking a federal court to halt California’s Clean Trucks mandate, citing an “impossible” situation where they must comply with both state and federal regulations. The lawsuit, filed by Daimler Truck, PACCAR, Volvo Group North America, and International Motors, argues that the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) decision to revoke a waiver granted to California’s Air Resources Board (CARB) has left them without clear guidance on how to meet the state’s emissions standards.
