Nintendo is set to release Donkey Kong Country Returns HD on the Nintendo Switch in January. The game’s new Modern Mode offers a more forgiving experience by default, with three hearts instead of two and the ability to carry up to nine items. This easier difficulty mode was introduced for previous releases, including the Wii and 3DS versions. The game will also feature co-op mode and Joy-con motion controls, similar to its original release. The release comes as part of a celebration for the opening of Donkey Kong Country’s theme park expansion at Universal Studios Japan.
