A South Korean girl group from an animated film has achieved major success on the US music charts. The song’s nearly 32 million streams in its debut week solidified its position as a record-breaking hit.

The animated film KPop Demon Hunters has gained significant attention from music fans worldwide, particularly those of K-pop genre. The movie follows Huntr/x, a K-pop girl band that uses their music to protect humans from demons. This success marks the ninth song by the K-pop genre to top the Hot 100 chart and only the second time a female group has achieved this feat.

Golden’s massive success also reflects its popularity on other platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. The track reached number one spot in several charts, including the Official UK Singles Chart, marking another milestone for the South Korean music scene.
