The New York Giants kicked off their preseason strong with a road victory over the Buffalo Bills. Among the players who stood out were three first-year players – Abdul Carter, Jaxson Dart, and Marcus Mbow.
Outside linebacker Abdul Carter made his presence felt despite limited playing time. He beat Bills starting right guard O’Cyrus Torrence and left tackle Dion Dawkins on consecutive plays. Carter registered a pressure on each of his pass rush snaps.
Quarterback Jaxson Dart completed 12 of 19 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown, earning him a passer rating of 106.0. He also led the team with 24 yards on three rush attempts. Analyst Brian Baldinger praised Dart’s performance, calling it “fine” and highlighting his smart decisions and NFL talent.
Offensive lineman Marcus Mbow put together a strong performance at both right and left tackle. The fifth-round pick was on the field for 49 snaps, surrendering just one total pressure. Baldinger described Mbow as “awesome,” making him the standout rookie in Saturday’s game.
