Battlefield 6 Open Beta Weekend 2 Kicks Off Today with New Playlists and Custom Search Options

The highly-anticipated Battlefield 6 Open Beta Weekend 2 is set to begin today, August 14, at 8am UTC (1am PT), and will run until Sunday, August 17. Developer DICE has outlined the changes and additions fans can expect for the upcoming weekend.

The most notable change is the introduction of more varied playlists with multiple game modes rotating daily. The All-Out Warfare playlist will feature Breakthrough, Conquest, and Rush, with in-game descriptions indicating which modes are included in the rotation.

This new approach aims to understand what the community enjoys and shape the launch experience. DICE plans to keep fan-favorite modes available simultaneously by rotating through playlists daily, a feature specific to the Open Beta period.

Additionally, DICE has introduced custom search options for Weekend 2, allowing players to choose their favorite combinations of maps and modes. This new feature, called Custom Search, will prioritize matchmaking based on player preferences.

Fans can expect increased variety and choice during Weekend 2, with over half a million concurrent players on Steam last weekend. The first-person shooter’s popularity bodes well for its October launch.
