US Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has temporarily relocated her residence due to an increase in threats against her, including “vicious doxxing” on the dark web and death threats from terrorist organizations. According to a department spokesperson, Noem is staying in secure military housing for now.
The move comes after media outlets published the location of Noem’s Washington D.C. apartment, leading to a surge in threats. Despite this, Noem continues to pay rent for her Navy Yard residence. Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated that the media’s decision to prioritize sensationalism over safety is “a shame.”
Meanwhile, ICE agents have reported a 1000% increase in assaults against them since President Donald Trump returned to office. Noem has vowed to continue enforcing the law and arresting high-risk criminals despite this violence.
This spike in attacks began on January 21, 2025, and was compared to the same period in 2024, where ICE officials faced an 830% increase in assaults.
