A 13-second video clip has surfaced showing far-right Israeli minister Itamar Ben Gvir taunting prominent Palestinian prisoner Marwan Barghouti, aged 66, who is serving life sentences for planning attacks that killed five civilians. The clip shows Ben Gvir saying “You will not win” and telling Barghouti that Israel will “wipe him out”. Palestinians see Barghouti as their leader who could unify different factions and negotiate peace with Israel. Palestinian prisoner rights groups have condemned the video, calling it an example of psychological terrorism.
