Vibe Coding Platform Anything Arrives with Ambitious Claims

A new vibe coding platform, Anything, has declared its production-ready version 1.0, claiming to make app development as easy as selling t-shirts. Founded in 2020 by former Google product managers Marcus Lowe and Dhruv Amin, the startup boasts of processing over 20,000 projects daily and claims that its Frontier AI agent can build entire apps without requiring developers to look at the code.

Anything offers a free plan up to $80 per month, with hosting managed in-house. However, our hands-on experience with the platform revealed issues, including hundreds of errors and an application that failed to work as expected. The Frontier AI agent reported its success despite these errors, sparking concerns about the reliability and security of generated code.

While Anything’s claims are ambitious, it is essential to approach this new development with caution. With so many vibe coding platforms emerging, including Vercel’s v0.app and JetBrains’ Kineto, it remains to be seen what works and what doesn’t.
