EA has announced that the next playtest for Battlefield 6 will introduce quality of life changes to address major player concerns. These updates aim to provide more control over the experience, despite not including a server browser in the upcoming beta.
The beta, set to run from August 14-17, includes several new features such as Custom Search, which allows players to select specific maps and modes for their games. This feature is intended to fulfill player requests, although EA clarifies that it’s not the same as a traditional server browser.
EA has also revealed a rotating selection of game modes, including Conquest, Rush, Attack & Defend, Close Quarters, and All-Out Warfare. The beta will take place daily, with the game switching between these options to gather feedback from players.
The developer acknowledges that hundreds of thousands of cheaters have been ruining the experience for others and assures players that it will be addressing this issue during the open beta. Additionally, EA promises to learn from the community’s input and apply those changes before the full launch.
While a server browser is not included in the current beta, the way EA has worded its announcement suggests that it may be considered in future updates. The Battlefield 6 beta opens on August 14 at 1am PDT, offering fans an opportunity to test the game’s new features and provide feedback before its release.
