DICE Addresses Battlefield 6 Beta Concerns with Changes to Rush Mode

DICE has responded to criticism of Rush mode in Battlefield 6’s beta by introducing several changes aimed at addressing player concerns. The updated mode now features a reduced MCOM timer from 45 seconds to 30 seconds, aiming to strike better balance between attackers and defenders. Additionally, defender timers have been fixed at 12 seconds, rather than the previously variable range of 6-12 seconds.

These adjustments also apply to Breakthrough mode, where fewer players are needed to speed up capture. While some complaints remain, including the current 12v12 player count, DICE acknowledges that this is not a switch that can be easily flipped without significant balance changes.

Furthermore, technical issues such as the non-appearance of DLSS and DLAA features in the beta have been reported by players. Although an ETA for a fix has not been provided, it’s expected to be resolved soon given DICE’s ongoing updates.

Despite these challenges, players are generally enjoying the second beta, with positive sentiment still surrounding the game’s reveal videos. The next update will provide insight into how these changes play out, and it remains to be seen what further adjustments DICE may make before the October launch.
