Microsoft has announced a new feature that allows users to easily share files between their iPhone and PC, similar to Apple’s AirDrop. The company is rolling out a beta version of Phone Link, a Windows app that lets users connect their phone to their PC wirelessly. With this update, users can share files between devices, making it possible for iPhone users with a Windows PC to share content without the need for complicated setup.
To use this feature, users will need an iPhone running iOS 16 or later and version 1.24112.73 or higher of the Link to Windows app, as well as Phone Link app on Windows version 1.24112.89.0 or higher, and be registered in the Windows Insider beta program. The feature will eventually be rolled out to all Windows 10 and Windows 11 users.
