Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Won’t Launch on New Switch 2

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will not be available on the new Nintendo Switch 2 at its launch, according to an insider. Microsoft signed a “legally binding” 10-year deal with Activision Blizzard in 2023 to bring Call of Duty games to Nintendo platforms. Despite this commitment, the game’s developers likely couldn’t meet the deadline for a port to the new console.

Billbil-kun, a reliable leaker, confirmed that Black Ops 7 will launch on November 14th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The lack of a Switch 2 version may be due to the time required to optimize the game for the new console.

This decision doesn’t necessarily mean Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 won’t be released on Switch 2 in the future. However, it’s likely that Activision Blizzard needs more time to develop a port that meets the game’s full feature and content parity with other platforms.
