The Cleveland Browns are set to face off against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field in their second preseason game. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel is expected to start, despite dealing with hamstring tightness and taking limited reps earlier this season.
Gabriel returned to participating in team drills after a brief setback, and has been working steadily in joint practice with the Eagles. However, teammate Kenny Pickett’s injury and another player Shedeur Sanders’ oblique strain have put their participation in 11-on-11 drills into question.
Sanders is listed as “unlikely” to play in the second preseason game due to his injury. Quarterback Joe Flacco will also miss the game for the second consecutive week, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski, who stated that Flacco’s health is not an issue but rather a strategic decision to prioritize caution given his throwing style.
