Apple is expected to launch two new iPhone models in 2026, while phasing out the base iPhone 18. The company has chosen quality over quantity and will make some compromises this year. According to a recent report, five iPhone models will be added to Apple’s lineup.
The foldable iPhone, which is estimated to cost between $2,000 and $2,500, will join the new lineup. It will not replace any existing model but will offer a separate option for customers interested in folding smartphones.
Before its launch in late 2026, Apple plans to unveil the iPhone 17e. The phone’s specifications are expected to be top-notch for a lower-than-premium price range. However, it is unclear if it offers the same value as the base iPhone 18.
To manage its smartphone lineup and avoid appearing cluttered, Apple will launch only three flagship models in 2026: the iPhone 17e, iPhone 18 Air, and iPhone 18 Pro. The iPhone 18 Pro Max will be introduced later in the year, replacing the base iPhone 18.
