Alcaraz Wins Cincinnati Open to Extend Big Titles Lead

Carlos Alcaraz solidified his lead over rival Jannik Sinner in the Big Titles standings by winning the 2025 Cincinnati Open. The victory marked Alcaraz’s fourth Big Title of the season, a feat that has not been achieved since 2019.

The win pushed Alcaraz’s total count to 13 Big Titles, surpassing Novak Djokovic’s record of eight in the same category. Alcaraz boasts an impressive winning streak at Masters 1000 events, standing at 17 consecutive victories.

This season, Alcaraz has claimed six titles overall, including four Big Titles, and three in the ATP Masters 1000 series. He will have additional opportunities to add to his tally at the US Open, Shanghai, Paris, and the Nitto ATP Finals.

Alcaraz’s impressive form has drawn comparisons to other all-time greats like Roger Federer, Pete Sampras, and Andre Agassi, who achieved similar success with lower numbers of matches played.
