A Baltimore resident has won a life-changing sum of money after buying a winning scratch-off ticket. The top prize is over $1 million, making it the biggest win this week according to the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Commission. Two other scratch-off players from Rockville and Upper Marlboro also won $100,000 each. In addition, Powerball players from Gaithersburg and Mechanicsville shared a $50,000 win. The Powerball jackpot has grown to an estimated $605 million, with the next drawing set for August 18. Maryland Lottery paid out nearly $30.5 million in prizes during this week’s period.
