Ketamine Queen to Plead Guilty in Matthew Perry’s Overdose Death

A 42-year-old woman known as the “Ketamine Queen” has agreed to plead guilty to five federal charges, including selling the powerful drug that led to actor Matthew Perry’s fatal overdose. Jasveen Sangha, who sold ketamine to Cody McLaury hours before his death in August 2019, will face up to 65 years in prison.

According to her plea agreement, Sangha worked with a former producer and drug counseling worker to distribute the potent substance to Perry, who had become addicted to intravenous ketamine. The pair sold Perry 51 vials of the drug, which ultimately led to his death in October 2023.

Sangha’s guilty plea also acknowledges that she knew the dangers of ketamine, despite selling it for years out of her North Hollywood apartment. She is expected to formally enter a guilty plea in coming weeks and faces up to 65 years in prison based on the plea agreement.

Four others have already pleaded guilty to federal charges for their roles in Perry’s death, including a former producer and a personal assistant. The case highlights the growing popularity of ketamine as both a therapeutic treatment and a recreational substance, with many who sell it online using coded language to avoid detection.
