Box Office Showdown: Weapons Tops Charts, Nobody 2 Falls Short

A new wave of movies is hitting theaters this weekend. However, only one film managed to stay atop the charts in its sophomore outing – Zach Cregger’s horror movie Weapons. The movie took an estimated $25 million from 3,450 locations, with a 43% decline overseas. Disney’s Freakier Friday fell 41% domestically, while earning $14.5 million.

In contrast, Bob Odenkirk’s Nobody 2 struggled to find success in its domestic debut, opening to just $9.3 million from 3,260 locations. Despite this, it has a promising global total of $14.2 million and received a B+ CinemaScore from audiences.

On the other hand, Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: The First Steps continued its fourth weekend with a decline of only 45% to $8.8 million, securing its place in the top four. DreamWorks Animation’s The Bad Guys 2 rounded out the top five with $7.5 million domestically.

Meanwhile, Gareth Edwards’ Jurassic World Rebirth remains the highest-grossing film globally with an estimated total of $828.5 million. Other notable movies include Superman and F1: The Movie, which are both on the verge of crossing the $600 million mark globally.
