The Seattle Mariners will be without outfielder Victor Robles for at least 10 more games after he was suspended by MLB for throwing his bat at a pitcher during a rehab assignment. Robles, who is also expected to appeal the ruling, had been dealing with frustration due to being hit multiple times in recent games, including three times in just 15 at-bats last year. The incident occurred just as the Mariners were preparing to bring him back into the fold after he joined the team from the Washington Nationals earlier this season. Despite his struggles, Robles was seen as a key part of Seattle’s lineup, having slashed .328/.393/.467 with four home runs and 26 RBI in 77 games last season.
