Auburn Claims Nine National Championships, 15 Conference Titles

Auburn football has officially recognized nine national championships for its storied history, expanding on previously acknowledged titles. The additions bring the total to 1910, 1914, and 1958, which were not recognized before.

Athletic director John Cohen explained that Auburn will now align with the NCAA’s official record book and peer institutions. This decision aims to provide a more accurate representation of the team’s accomplishments.

The updated list includes:

* 1910: Maxwell Ratings and College Football Rankings
* 1913: Billingsley MOV and NCAA Football Record Book
* 1914: James Howell’s Power Ratings System
* 1957: AP and NCAA Football Record Book
* 1958: Montgomery Full Season Championship
* 1983: Multiple sources, including Billingsley, FACT, Football Research, Sagarin, NY Times, and NCAA Football Record Book
* 1993: National Championship Foundation and NCAA Football Record Book
* 2004: Several sources, including Darryl Perry and GBE College Football Ratings
* 2010: AP, BCS, and NCAA Football Record Book

The school is also updating its conference title count to 15, reclaiming three titles from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association era. New signage will be installed inside and around Jordan-Hare Stadium to reflect the updated national and conference titles.

The program will honor players from championship teams during the upcoming season, celebrating its rich history and accomplishments.
