Sarah Jessica Parker, 60, has spoken out against the negative reactions to the series finale of “And Just Like That” after the show’s abysmal reception. When asked about the fans who hate-watch the “Sex and the City” reboot in an interview with The New York Times, Parker revealed she doesn’t care what others think.
“We always worked incredibly hard to tell stories that were interesting or real,” she said. “I feel good about Carrie’s ending. I think she’s set up pretty well.”
Parker has stated that she never looks at fans’ online reactions to the HBO series and prefers not to engage with those who are critical of her work. Instead, she believes in allowing viewers to have their own feelings and opinions without trying to police or correct them.
The news comes after Parker announced on Instagram that “And Just Like That” was ending after three seasons, just two weeks before the finale aired. Costume designer Molly Rogers revealed that she was not officially informed of the franchise’s end, implying a lack of transparency from HBO.
Despite the negative reception, Parker is proud of her work and credits Carrie Bradshaw as a significant part of her professional life.
