ESPN is accelerating its plans to take control of WWE’s premium live events (PLEs) from 2026 to September 20, 2025. This move comes ahead of the launch of a new streaming app by both ESPN and Fox.
The change affects the WrestleMania and SummerSlam PLEs, which will now be exclusive to ESPN. Other PLEs like Crown Jewel on October 11 and Survivor Series on November 29 will also shift off Peacock, leaving WWE’s developmental league NXT as the only platform for its premium events.
WWE personnel are set to announce this move at a gathering in Indianapolis, where the first-ever Wrestlepalooza will take place. The event will be streamed live on ESPN starting September 20.
Meanwhile, Peacock will air its last WWE PLE, Clash in Paris, live from France on August 31. New main-roster WWE programming is expected to debut on NBCUniversal’s digital platform soon.
ESPN has also launched a new app, which costs $29.99 per month and offers access to all of ESPN’s programming. A bundle option with Fox One will be available starting October 2 for $39.99/month.
