Colts QB Anthony Richardson’s Future Uncertain After Daniel Jones Signing

Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr.’s position is uncertain after the team named Daniel Jones as its starting quarterback. Richardson’s agent, Deiric Jackson, expressed disappointment with the decision and questioned coach Shane Steichen’s intentions when the team signed Jones to a one-year contract in March.

Jackson believes that the recent quarterback decision has damaged the team’s credibility due to previous situations involving Richardson, including him being benched for two games last season. Despite this, Richardson had made significant improvements during camp, according to coaches. However, Jackson still doubts the trust between Richardson and the coaching staff.

Richardson himself stated that he has no hard feelings towards Steichen’s decision and plans to continue growing as a player. The Colts’ organization previously maintained that Richardson would still have a future in Indianapolis, regardless of the outcome of the quarterback battle. Jackson emphasizes Richardson’s playmaking ability, citing his two game-winning drives last season.

Jackson will discuss his concerns with the Colts, but stopped short of demanding a trade.
