Jillian Michaels Responds to “Fit for TV” Claims on Instagram

Fitness trainer Jillian Michaels has taken to social media to refute several claims made in Netflix’s latest documentary, “Fit for TV: The Reality of the Biggest Loser.”

Michaels appeared on NBC show from 2004 to 2011 but did not participate in the docuseries. She addressed former contestants’ allegations about trainers distributing caffeine pills, which she said was a common practice that Dr. Huizenga approved.

“Dr. Huizenga did approve caffeine pills on many seasons of Biggest Loser,” Michaels said alongside screenshots of alleged emails from 2009. “Caffeine was NEVER banned on The Biggest Loser.”

She also responded to Bob Harper’s claim that she never reached out after his heart attack in 2017, saying they were close on TV and he expected better communication.

Additionally, Michaels denied allegations that she restricted contestants’ calories and shared an email from a contestant confirming the opposite.
