Jets Acquire Defensive Tackle Harrison Phillips in Trade

The New York Jets have announced that they have acquired defensive tackle Harrison Phillips from the Minnesota Vikings. The deal, agreed upon on Wednesday, sees the Jets sending 2026 and 2027 sixth-round picks to the Vikings in exchange for Phillips and a 2027 seventh-round pick. Phillips will officially join the team.

In addition to the trade, the Jets have made three other moves. Defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis has been released, while cornerback Ryan Cooper has also been cut. Rashad Weaver has been placed on injured reserve.

With their initial 53-man roster deadline looming on Tuesday, the Jets are expected to make further cuts in the coming days to finalize their lineup.
