Apple has announced that it is raising the monthly price of its Apple TV+ streaming service for U.S. customers. The new subscription fee will be $12.99, up from the current $9.99. Existing subscribers will see the change 30 days after their next renewal date.
The price hike follows other major streaming services, including Netflix and Peacock. In January, Netflix raised its standard plan with ads from $6.99 to $7.99 a month. Peacock in July increased its Premium Plus plan’s cost by $3 to $16.99 per month.
Apple TV+ offers original content such as “The Morning Show” and “Severance.” The annual subscription fee remains at $99.99 for new customers.
