The Who Postpone Philadelphia Concert Due to Illness

Legendary rock band The Who has postponed its Thursday night concert in South Philly at the Xfinity Mobile Arena due to a cold/flu bug affecting the band. The “The Song Is Over – North American Farewell Tour” kicked off last week and was scheduled to be the final show in Philadelphia, but it will now be rescheduled.

A spokesperson for the band announced that the postponement is temporary, and the concert will take place when everyone involved is healthy again. Fans were informed by Ticketmaster that their tickets would remain valid if a new date is set for the performance.

The Who’s tour has been making headlines this year due to drummer Zak Starkey being fired and rehired multiple times before being replaced by Scott Devours on drums for this leg of the tour. The band has a rich history in Philadelphia, having played iconic venues like the Civic Center and the Electric Factory since 1967.

While there is no word yet on the status of their show at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, fans can look forward to rescheduled dates once the band recovers from illness.
