Jaylen Brown’s Father Arrested for Attempted Murder

Jaylen Brown’s father, Quenton M. Marselles, a former boxer, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a youth football coach in Las Vegas. The incident occurred over a parking space dispute at All American Park. Police found Marselles with knife wounds and abrasions to his knees. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and is set to appear in court Thursday.

According to reports, Brown’s girlfriend claimed that Marselles followed the victim after a verbal disagreement and swung his arm in a stabbing motion, striking him multiple times. The victim suffered severe injuries, including stab wounds to the back, clavicle, hands, and breaking a rib. Brown is reportedly unaware of the arrest and has no close relationship with his father.

The 28-year-old NBA player, who won his first NBA title in the 2023-24 season, has been dealing with the aftermath of being eliminated from the playoffs by the Knicks in six games. Despite this, he continues to excel on the court, averaging 22.2 points per game during the regular season and 22.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in the postseason.
