A nationwide meat recall has been issued by the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), covering approximately 32,000 pounds of products. The recall was triggered due to false USDA marks of inspection on certain products.
The affected products include chorizo, pork chops, and ribs from Sabrositos Hondurenos, LLC, a company based in New Jersey. These products were shipped to retail locations and restaurants across the country before August 20, 2025.
Consumers are advised not to consume these products due to potential undeclared allergens, harmful bacteria, or other contaminants. The FSIS has warned that some of these products may pose a risk to public health.
If you have purchased any of the recalled products, it is recommended that you dispose of them immediately or return them to the place of purchase. Restaurants and retailers should also refrain from serving the meat and dispose of it properly.
For more information or to contact Sabrositos Hondurenos, LLC, consumers can reach out to Diego Funez Garrido at 908-274-4206 or call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at (888) 674-6854.
