Google has missed the opportunity to release a sequel to its popular Pixel Tablet 2, which was introduced in 2023. The original device offered an impressive audio experience and unique features like a magnetic speaker dock.
Although the new Pixel series boasts upgraded AV capabilities with brighter OLED displays and improved speakers, there is no indication that Google will develop a new tablet focused on audio enhancement. The Pixel Tablet’s built-in speakers provided clear and full-bodied sound quality, making it suitable for movie nights.
Google still sells the original Pixel Tablet model, but a new version has not been announced. A revised speaker dock with better dynamics would be a significant improvement. With its audio capabilities being ahead of most Bluetooth speakers, a next-generation device could further enhance this feature.
The lack of a Pixel Tablet 2 is disappointing, especially considering the tablet space is dominated by Apple’s iPad range.
