Apple has denied allegations of bullying made by former employee Mandana Mofidi, who filed a lawsuit against the company and its Fitness chief Jay Blahnik last year. The New York Times report claims that around 10% of Blahnik’s team sought mental health or medical leave since 2022, and nine employees accuse him of creating a toxic work environment.
According to an Apple spokesman, Lance Lin, the company investigated the allegations but found no evidence of wrongdoing. However, Lin stated that Apple disagrees with what the report claimed and suggested that Mofidi had performance issues that went unresolved. The company also denied claims of unprofessional comments made by Blahnik, including allegedly saying a colleague’s wife likely had an affair.
Mofidi filed her lawsuit against Blahnik and Apple in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing bullying and harassment. The trial date for Mofidi’s lawsuit is set for 2027.
