The Who Postpone Farewell Tour Concert in Philadelphia Due to Band Illness

Rock music icons The Who have postponed their farewell tour concert in Philadelphia due to a band illness. The concert was scheduled for Thursday, August 21 at Xfinity Mobile Arena, but fans will have to wait longer to say goodbye.

The North American leg of the tour, titled The Song Is Over North America Farewell Tour, is expected to be rescheduled soon. Fans are being advised to hold onto their tickets, as no new date has been announced yet.

This farewell tour marks the end of a six-decade-long career for the legendary duo. They have performed over 2,000 gigs worldwide and have released numerous iconic albums, including ‘Tommy’, ‘Live At Leeds’, and ‘Quadrophenia’. The Who are one of the top three greatest rock legacies in music history with numerous chart-topping hits like “My Generation”, “Won’t Get Fooled Again”, and “Who Are You”.

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend announced their farewell tour back in May, stating that it will be a grand finale to their illustrious career. The tour offers VIP packages for fans who want an enhanced experience.

Despite the postponement, The Who’s music is expected to live on forever. Their legacy has been cemented through numerous awards and accolades, including induction into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
