Google Takes AI Lead in Smartphones with Pixel Update

Google has updated its Pixel smartphones lineup with powerful zoom cameras and the latest Tensor processor. However, the biggest changes lie on the software side, where generative AI is being used to power new experiences.

The update includes four key features that set Google apart from its competitors, including Magic Cue, which uses on-device AI to provide proactive suggestions in Messages, Gmail, and Calendar. This feature ensures speed, cost, and privacy advantages over cloud-based solutions.

Another notable feature is Camera Coach, an AI-powered tool that helps with framing and other core photography techniques. The Pixel 10 also allows users to edit photos using voice or text prompts.

Google’s advancements in AI are taking a step further with the introduction of voice translation, which serves up translated audio in a natural-sounding voice that mimics the original speaker. This feature puts Google ahead of its competitors and cements its position as a leader in AI-powered smartphones.
