Bukayo Saka Injured in Arsenal Match vs Leeds United

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has suffered a hamstring injury during Saturday’s match against Leeds United, adding to the team’s growing injury concerns. The 23-year-old had already scored and was seen limping off the pitch after feeling pain in his left hamstring.

Saka’s injury comes days after Kai Havertz also suffered an injury that accelerated Arsenal’s pursuit of Eberechi Eze. The player has been relatively durable for Arsenal, playing in most games throughout the past two seasons, but missed 2.5 months with a similar injury last year.

Manager Mikel Arteta expressed concerns about the team’s depth, saying, “We had already lost Kai [Havertz], who is a massive player… Now Bukayo and Martin, that’s why the squad has to be big.” The team has strengthened its squad with recent signings, including Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres, but injuries like these will test Arteta’s treatment team’s ability to keep the numbers up ahead of the UEFA Champions League schedule.
