Pokémon has announced a new Mega Pokémon species set to debut in the upcoming Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 game Pokémon Legends Z-A. The first look at Mega Victreebell was revealed in a video today, showing the bulbous version of the pitcher plant Pokémon.
The game’s story centers around Rogue Mega Pokémon, which spontaneously evolve into more powerful forms. Players must use their own Mega Pokémon to battle these creatures and can also bring allies to aid them.
A previous trailer featured Mega Dragonite, the first new Mega Pokémon in over a decade, and this update suggests multiple dozen new designs will be included. Familiar Mega Pokémon like Mega Kangaskhan and Mega Charizard X are also expected to return.
Pokémon Legends Z-A arrives for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on October 16, as players investigate mysterious occurrences and battle Rogue Mega Pokémon in a spooky atmosphere.
