The Verge reports that Abxylute, a company known for its streaming handhelds, has released the world’s first glasses-free 3D handheld PC, called the Abxylute 3D One. The device is based on a prototype co-developed by Intel and Tencent and uses eye-tracking technology to achieve its 3D effect.
The Abxylute 3D One features an Intel Lunar Lake chip, 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a 120Hz display. It will retail for under $1,700 and is specifically optimized to play 50 of the top games on Steam in 3D.
Abxylute has promoted the device using Super Mario Odyssey and Fire Emblem: Awakening, which are not officially available on Nintendo hardware. This move may be seen as a subtle attempt to highlight the device’s emulation capabilities, as it is essentially a PC.
The Abxylute 3D One will go on sale in late September, according to Abxylute. The device is expected to cater to a niche market of gamers interested in stereoscopic 3D technology.
